Rubio Cancels Appearance; RLC State Chairman to Address Senate Race

On Wednesday evening, February 24th the RLCNEF received a call from the Rubio for Senate Campaign informing them that the candidate would not be able to speak at the Tuesday, March 2nd  RLCNEF Meeting due to a scheduling conflict. The Rubio campaign has offered to send a surrogate to address the RLCNEF in Marco’s absence.

Since the RLCNEF had requested that Rubio address specific questions concerning issues of liberty,  it was decided to have RLC State Chairman Will Pitts address the same issues of liberty from the perspective of the Republican Liberty Caucus. Doug Kosarek, Daytona Beach radio talk show host of “Wake Up with Doug K” has agreed to interview Chairman Pitts on these issues. There will also be time for those in attendance to ask questions.

The March meeting will be the first in the new Four Points Sheraton location. There will be a reception from 6:00PM – 7:00PM with complimentary drinks and appetizers donated by the RLCNEF membership followed by the meeting from 7:00PM – 8:15PM.

The RLCNEF welcomes anyone interested in the liberty message to attend our meetings – regardless of membership status or party affiliation.

Rubio has no money for gas since the GOP cancelled his credit card. RLC, you don’t need another weasel in the ranks.

How is it that an unflattering comment remains visible on this website for everybody to see?

Perhaps it is because the RLC really sticks to it’s stated principles. The RLC is “committed to the continuation of the principles of our Founding Fathers” including the right to free speech.

I do not agree with every RLC member on every issue. They do not require it. When members say “We support individual rights, limited Constitutional government, free enterprise and a strong state and national defense. We believe every human being is endowed by our Creator with inherent rights to life, liberty and property that are properly secured by law,” they mean it.

If a candidate has a problem with the RLC’s stated principles, I would hope the voters would be allowed to hear about it.

Full disclosure moment: I am a proud member of the RLC.

    Beth,

I hope that was not his logic because the RLC represents a growing movement in this country comprised of the people and ideas that can actually Restore our Republic. This movement is much bigger than any single race. Those running for office who are interested in real solutions would be well advised NOT to ignore groups like the RLC.

    Something else to think about…
If you end up selling your soul to “win” what have you really won anyways?

Rubio must have heard that anyone supported by the RLC ends up losing. Smart move for Rubio!
